Education and work experience:

Higher education (University degree or higher) in automation and control and instrumentation area not less than 4 years of work experience in the position of an Instrument Engineer.


Main functions:

  • Application of integrated automation of production process and instrumentation facilitating upgrade of engineering performance standard of production, working efficiency, cost saving, production quality improvement, ensuring safe and healthy work environment;
  • Develop and review maintenance strategies, procedures, technical documentation and specifications, maintenance plan optimization in accordance with RoK and international standards and best practices;
  • Ensure effective operation and maintenance of Instrument equipment in compliance with safety, reliability, efficiency and quality requirements;
  • Study production process in order to define areas of main and auxiliary works and actions subject to automation and define engineering standards level of equipment and technologies;
  • Participate in long term and current planning related to automation of production processes;
  • Prepare specification requirements for instrumentation and technical-economic justification of the developed designs;
  • Participate in the review of draft and preliminary designs, working drawings designed as per company’s request, as well as in instrumentation installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance supervision;
  • Estimate automation and mechanization arrangements efficiency, requisitions issue for required equipment;
  • Participate in the review of technical documentation related to production automation and mechanization of new facilities, designing of more advanced instrumentation and automatics;
  • Analyse applied automation and mechanization means efficiency, indicators of their application. Prepare of proposals for detected defects elimination;
  • Take measures ensuring reliability control and trouble-free operation of instrumentation and automation means;
  • Give instructions and assist employees in new automation and mechanization means design familiarization, organization of training for technical knowledge development;
  • Participate in the development of equipment operation and maintenance manuals, safe work performance manuals related to automation and mechanization equipment maintenance, other technical documentation;
  • Collect data for awarding of contracts with specialized organizations for the provision of research, design works and experimental development, as well as for manufacturing and repair of automation and mechanization means, compile and co-approve work schedules, provide required engineering data;
  • Participate in studying and implementation of advanced experience, efficient work performance techniques and methods, propagate new achievements related to automation and mechanization of production processes;
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis and remedial solution activities related to automation and mechanization equipment;
  • Participate in the preparation of the annual budget of the Maintenance Departments for the upcoming scheduled maintenance work on equipment and work on the modification and replacement of obsolete equipment;
  • Compile summary reports on completed work on the modification and replacement of obsolete equipment.
