Education and work experience:

Higher education (University degree or higher) in the relevant speciality and not less than 2 years of work experience in the positions of specialist or secondary professional education and not less than 3 years of work experience in production activity control.

The current International Well Control Certificate.

Main functions:

  • Supervise an appropriate and timely execution of the engineering programs on the current drilling and completion activities by the Well Operations contracting companies. To manage and supervise drilling and completion operations and the contractors’ activity in accordance with approved programs, schedules and procedures.
  • Provide reporting to the departmental management and engineering staff on technical data, performance indicators, their generalization and classification; to participate in carrying out necessary calculations and obtaining data.
  • Fulfil HSE leadership responsibilities when carrying out own duties and assisting the Drilling Superintendent by ensuring adherence to safe working practices, KPO HSE policy and procedures and RoK HSE regulations during decision making, work planning, coordination and supervision of work.

Necessary knowledge and skills:

  • knowledge of risk management and HSE management;
  • organizational/management documentation, standards and technical procedures relating to the operational and business activities within the discipline;
  • engineering requirements applied to work, carried out within the discipline, drilling and completion technology;
  • equipment and its operational regulations;
  • advanced domestic and foreign experience relating to the similar activities carried out within the discipline;
  • labour management, operations and management basics;
  • labour legislation basics; labour protection regulations;
  • basic skills in petroleum and mechanical engineering;
  • ability to work in multi-cultural environment in an operations team;
  • analytical approach to solve technical complex problems;
  • Mastery English is an advantage on this role;
  • must be able to communicate efficiently with various operational units and with a variety of nationalities and educational levels;
  • good skills with PC in Windows environment. Ability to use software to work with wells diagrams and completion drawings, DIMS/Openwells software;
  • prior experience with high pressure and sour gas wells and in fields with wells greater than 4000m;
  • arctic or cold weather experience.
