RESERVOIR ENGINEER

Education and work experience:

Higher education (University degree or higher) in the relevant speciality and not less than 2 years of work experience as Reservoir Engineer.

Main functions:

• Provide a continuous update of the 3D dynamic reservoir model guaranteeing the collection proper reservoir monitor data.
• Prepare medium-term forecast production profiles.
• Undertake specific studies to support projects progressing through KPO’s Value Assurance process.

Necessary knowledge and skills:

• Company’s expected future development and strategies.
• The essentials of fields geology and oil-gas production technology.
• Rules and technique of geological-technical assignments and operation process.
• Company’s production technology.
• Production facilities and regimes of equipment operation, working instructions.
• Methods for determination of the economic value of a project.
• Advanced knowledge of W/O and new well drilling and completion techniques.
• Basics of labour organization and management.
• Basics of labour legislation; labour safety regulations.
• Purpose, design and technical characteristics of drilling equipment.
• Setting-up, running and analysinig output data from a 3D compositional reservoir simulator, such as Eclipse.
• Can solve moderately difficult technical problems in a reasonable time-scale.
• Complex degree of analysis and interpretation of information from different sources when solving problems.
• Capable of moderate decision-making for either following detailed instructions on routine tasks, or modification of appropriate solutions (methods) within guidelines provided by the supervisor.
• Capable to solve tasks and problems if delegated by direct supervisor.
