Education and work experience:

Higher education (University degree or higher) in the relevant speciality and not less than 4 years of work experience in the position of Mechanical Engineer.

Main functions:

  • Engineering supervision of construction work completion by contractors according to Method Statement, SNiP (construction norms and rules) and Industrial construction standards. Control the compliance of contractor with construction schedule and quality control plan.
  • Technical Acceptance and signature on completion of mechanical works and validation / acceptance of as-built documentation.
  • Monitor and supervise for the proper implementation by contractor companies of the requirements of the legislation of the RoK and the corporate policy of KPO on safety, health and environmental protection and the practical application of the rules and regulations of the safety system adopted in the KPO.
  • On behalf of Client implement engineering supervision over mechanical work and acceptance of completed projects from contractors.
  • Control work planning of capital construction progress, compliance with work scope, terms and quality of mechanical work, and also quality of used materials, tools, structures approved by project documentation, drawings, construction standards and codes, technical specifications, safety rules.
  • Participate in solving issues related to engineering changes into projects due to implementation of more progressive technologies, structural-special concept ensuring cost reduction and enhancement of performance rates of construction and reconstruction projects.
  • Participate in reviewing and coordinating engineering changes arising in course of construction, efficient problem solving issues including proposals for materials substitute or replacement.
  • Evaluate reasons leading to schedule disruption or poor quality of mechanical work, implement control measures to prevent and eliminate.
  • Participate with signature and acceptance technical acts, witness/inspection hydro test. Bolt torque witness / test completion acceptance for work and facilities, in preparation of engineering Mechanical Completion Package (MCP).
  • Participate and review all lifting plans, evaluate compliance with KPO procedure safe working with cranes and lifting equipment.
  • Participate in Three Party Walk Down and joint agreement with any incomplete works / Punch List Items.

  • Participate in acceptance commissions for construction projects and their handover to operation.
  • Control quality of elimination by construction companies of outstanding issues, defects within the period established by the commission.
  • Maintain records and logs of completed mechanical work and prepare data sheets required for reporting of future audit.
  • Material Issuing interface between Engineering Department / Project Management Team / KPO Warehouse and Contractor. Availability checks on engineering deliverables in SAP system.
  • Ensure HSE method statement and risk assessment (RAMS) is fully understood by all personnel involved in activities and endorsed during onsite Tool Box Talks.
  • Attend (PTW) Permit to Work Meetings. Endorsed by signature on PTW as JRE on-site Job Responsible Engineer. Tool Box Talk attendance mandatory at the start of work on-site.
  • Demonstrate safety leadership and promote positive safety culture including regular engagement and coaching with the workforce. Be responsible for compliance with the HSE rules, timely inform management about violations of HSE and take measures to eliminate these violations. Consistently enforce compliance with HSE rules, requirements, and procedures. Actively support all HSE programs (HSE Cards, L3 Inspections etc.) as directed.
