Education and work experience:

Higher education (University degree or higher) in the relevant speciality and not less than 5 years of work experience as per speciality.

Main functions:

  • Supervision of Electrical/Instrument Engineers; schedule monitoring for progress and quality control.
  • Engineering supervision of electrical/instrument subcontractor construction activities. Ensuring all work is completed to project and/or local regulatory standards. Acceptance of completed installation from contractors.
  • Technical acceptance of completed electrical/instrument work and facilities. To review and sign off electrical/instrument engineering documentation for mechanical completion packs.
  • Monitor and supervise for the proper implementation by contractor companies of the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the corporate policy of KPO on safety, health and environmental protection and the practical application of the rules and regulations of the safety system adopted in the KPO.”
  • Control the work, progress and planning of capital construction works. Ensure compliance with work scope, in terms quality of work carried out, materials and tools used. Ensure only approved project documentation and drawings are used. Ensure relevant construction standards, codes, technical specifications and safety rules are applied.
  • Participate in solving issues related to implement engineering changes to projects related to the introduction of new developments, concepts and technologies, resulting in cost reduction and enhanced performance to new and existing construction projects.
  • Participate in reviewing and resolving unforeseen engineering design arising during the course of construction. Ensure timely and efficient resolution of such issues such as replacement of materials, tools, modifications to structures where required without compromise to quality.
  • Identify instances of poor quality workmanship and/or materials. To take the necessary measures to ensure prevention, elimination and reoccurrence.
  • Carry out technical acceptance of completed works and facilities, prepare engineering documentation as required.
  • Participate in acceptance commissions for construction projects and their handover to operations.
  • Ensure all construction deficiencies, defects and outstanding issues are satisfactorily completed within established time period set by the commission.
  • Maintain records of completed electrical work and prepare data required for reporting of capital construction plan.
  • Coordinate Electrical/Instrument Engineers, vendors, specialists and inspectors to ensure they effectively perform their duties in timely manner with due regard to schedule and quality.
  • Demonstrate safety leadership and promote positive safety culture including regular engagement and coaching with the workforce.

Necessary knowledge and skills:

  • mastery English is an advantage on this role;
