Education and work experience:

Higher education (University degree or higher) in IT&T and not less than 2 years of work experience as Database Management Systems Engineer.

Main functions:

  • Ensure the smooth operation of all components of database management systems and tools, and database instances as unitary objects (physical level of a database) in order to create conditions for effective and reliable management of the Company data.
  • Update the state of database management systems and their components in accordance with the Company's business needs, technical, regulatory, licensing requirements, and innovative data management approaches in order to maximize the benefits from the use of information assets for the Company.
  • Provide consultancy during database development (design), modernization and implementation to other IT sectors to meet the requirements and needs of business and users. But he himself is not involved in the development and modernization of the database structure.

Necessary knowledge and skills:

  • Mastery English is an advantage on this role;
  • Strong knowledge of personal computers, Windows and Unix (Linux) operating systems, file systems and data storage and processing technologies;
  • Basic knowledge and experience of using script (scripting) programming languages;
  • General knowledge of server and network systems, computer security;
  • General understanding of the evolution and classification of database management systems, the main characteristics of DBMS, data management techniques and tools, algorithms and data structures, standards in the realm of database management;
  • Professional knowledge of one of the MS SQL or the Oracle database management systems and related software, experience in deploying database management systems and database administration in an industrial environment;
  • Professional knowledge of the SQL programming language, and one of the Transact-SQL or PL / SQL programming languages;
  • Ability to design and practical use of relational databases;
  • General understanding of the architecture of information systems and the corresponding terminology, experience in providing support to developers and information systems administration specialists, experience in identifying and eliminating problems and errors at the level of database management systems and databases. Professional knowledge of data access interfaces;
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks concurrently;
  • Punctuality in routine activities;
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
