Education and work experience:

Higher education (University degree or higher) in oil and gas area  or in the relevant speciality and not less than 5 years of work experience as Project Services Engineer.

Main functions:

  • Taking a KGP wide view of overall project execution performance against agreed commitments of Sanction Agreement and Contracts with Integration of all building blocks and also by block execution performance.
  • Provide unique insights to KGP project performance as it integrates cost, control, project planning, schedule, Information Management and Information Technology and risk management. A key aspect is control cost and schedule to be with approved AFE and compliance to Sanction agreement.
  • Monitor project delivery performance.
  • KGP wide implementation of accurate and timely project control systems to monitor schedule, quality, cost (spend against budget), risk and opportunities.
  • Manage and Lead project services teams at different locations of KGP.
  • Establish and control robust cost and schedule performance baselines across all the building blocks KGP project. To ensure proactive management of KGP cost, schedule, reporting, finance and change control effectively.
  • Prepare KGP project status and performance information for monthly reporting and management presentations.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of performance analysis, with information reported to the KGP Project Management, PED Director and PED PSM or partners as appropriate, establishing tools and common systems to support data collection, aggregation and analysis.
  • Utilise PED Project Control practices for setting performance management metrics and tracking KGP performance at building blocks, providing advice and where appropriate remedial actions.
  • Prepare and provide to PED Budget team annual work plan and budgets and ensure that Authorization for Expenditure are prepared, monitored, contingencies reviewed and amendments raised as necessary.
  • Ensure to follow PED Project procedure for compliance on Risk management, Reporting, MOC, Budget and Contingency management.
  • Work closely with KGP Project Manager and PED PSM for overall Integration.
  • Coordinate and Manage KGP Contractors for Schedule preparation and Baselining, Cost Control and Cashflow demand to finance, Invoicing reporting, evaluate and provide feedback to KGP PM, PED Director and PED PSM.
  • Capture lessons Learned and Closeout project.
  • Perform other instructions of management / line management within its competence.

Necessary knowledge and skills:

  • Mastery English is an advantage on this role;
  • Managing commercial aspects of projects;
  • Clear understanding of value assurance framework and drivers that impact the business;
  • RoK HSE Regulations;
  • Safety Management Systems of venture.major projects management skills including Budgeting, Control, Scheduling and risk management;
  • Preparation of Project performance reports
  • Experience in managing complex budgets of over +200MM;
  • Must be an effective and informed decision maker with experience interacting with senior management and senior external parities including the government authorities;
  • Sound problem solver who understands sensitivity and complexity of delivering business within a complex joint venture and the RoK;
  • Team player, excellent analytical abilities, and good communicator.
