GATHERING OPERATOR

Education and work experience:

Higher or secondary professional education in oil and gas, oil and gas processing technologies, operation of oil and gas fields and not less than 5 years of work experience as per Gathering Operator.

Main functions:

• Responsible for operational area during completion of works and tasks;
• Control technological process of oil, gas and gas condensate production, gas re-injection and production, ensure continuous operation of wells;
• Control and adjustment of flow rate, temperature, pressure and other production and operational parameters according to operating manual; to survey pressure on well heads, start-up and shutdown wells and units;
• Participate in well maintenance: installation, removal of on-surface shut-off equipment, Early Oil Production Satellite and Remote Manifold Station (RMS);
• Participate in well development activities; to participate in activities to set up well regime; to participate in preparation of well head equipment for routine and capital maintenance and commissioning;
• Carry out works to prevent formation of hydrations, deposition of paraffin, resin and salts; to prepare calculation of chemicals to be used on well heads, Early Oil Production Satellite and RMS;
• Survey values of various technological parameters with instrumentation, take and handover parameters of operation of wells and equipment, control operation of automation and telemechanics;
• Participate in well survey;
• Control pipelines corrosion protection facilities; participate in technological operations such as: well inhibition, injection of chemicals in to well tubing; injection of inhibitors of paraffin, corrosion and deposition;
• Sample product, prepare appropriate documentation, prepare samples labels and send to lab for analysis;
• Maintain shift documentation related to operation and servicing wells and production satellite; 
• Prepare daily reports on wells, Early Oil Production Satellite and RMS operation;
• Report all failures and defects to lead operator within his competency;
• Structure of equipment, valves and communication;
• Purpose and rules of operation instrumentation;
• Rules of operation of wells and production satellite;
• Physicochemical property of raw and products;
• Specification of field;
• Technological process of oil, gas and gas-condensate production;
• Purpose and specification of on-surface and underground well equipment;
• Types of workover and slickline operations; methods of well survey;
• Gathering and transportation schemes, metering and treatment of oil, gas and gas-condensate;
• Principals and installation schemes of well head piping, production satellite, RMS, servicing equipment, automation and telemechanics;
• Rules of use, storage and transportation of chemical agents.

Necessary knowledge and skills:

• Suggest fast solution of problems; ability to work independently;
• Skills of written and verbal communication at all levels within and outside of the company.
