MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN

Education and work experience:

Higher or secondary professional education technological machines and equipment area and not less than 5 years of work experience as per Mechanical Technician.

Main functions:

• Carry out maintenance of processing equipment according to schedule of planned preventive maintenance;
• Maintain equipment in operable condition according to RoK metrology and HSE regulations and KPO procedures;
• Ensure planned production volumes and quality of the product according to industrial safety requirements and ecology, KPO procedures;
• Carry out routine, minor repair works and overhauls; assemble, test, adjust and commissioning of pumps, compressors, HP valves, gate valves, centrifugal, dozing, and subsurface and rod pumps, inspection of different types of valves; to perform housekeeping at workshop, store mechanical equipment on the platforms;
• Maintain technical documentation related maintenance and operation of processing equipment;
• Control condition of processing equipment on site, condition of tools, storage and use tools according to KPO policy requirements and RoK standards;
• Participate in emergency rescue works;
• Control quality of repair works carried out by contractors;
• Prepare and submit to Lead Mechanical Technician requisitions for required spare parts, tools and consumables.

Necessary knowledge and skills:

• P&ID of Gathering facilities;
• Structure and specifications of processing equipment;
• Functions of particular units, operational rules, main techniques of disassembling, repairing and assembling equipment;
• Purpose and specification of greasing and sealing materials;
• Structure, purpose and rules of use of bench and instrumentations;
• Structure, purpose and rules of use of hydraulic tools for flange tightening;
• Structure, purpose and rules of use of lazer devices for equipment alignment;
• Able to apply developed mechanical maintenance to varied mechanical devices and equipment;
• Able to apply developed maintenance strategies to workshop machinery and devices;
• Able to comprise planning and schemes relating to activities and schedules.
