Education and work experience:

Higher education (University degree or higher) in the civil/construction area and not less than 2 years of work experience as Construction Engineer.

Main functions:

  • Assistance in planning and implementing the projects and work packs related to field facilities modifications and coordinating the project activities to achieve the milestone and goals established.
  • Ensure implementing the Management of Change (MoC) on brownfield assets.
  • General technical and effective management of projects, monitoring field facilities repair and modifications and cost calculation.
  • Coordinate performance of the department production assignments, effective use of key assets and equipment.
  • Assist in preparation and updating project schedules, reports and cost estimates.
  • Assist in the preparation of contracts for the supply of services, goods and materials from local, national and international suppliers in accordance with KPO contract and procurement policies and procedures.
  • Monitor material availability against work programmes and project designs to ensure procurement is initiated in a timely manner for all materials and in particular long lead items (LLI) in cooperation with General Projects, C&P Departments.
  • Ensure all brownfield project activities are carried out in accordance with the Management of Change (MOC) procedure to ensure that all changes and variations introduced by the project activities are safe and are identified, reviewed and approved by all stakeholder authorities and are fully auditable.
  • Ensure all project documentation and close out certification is prepared and approved in time to achieve the planned progress and completion of the projects on field facilities repair and modifications.
  • Act as a change manager in accordance with brownfield facilities change management procedures.
  • Monitor the progress of schedules for field facilities repair and modifications, compliance of scopes, durations and quality of mechanical works, as well as quality of used materials, products and structures approved by cost estimate documentation, detailed drawings, construction codes and regulations, standards, specifications, health and safety requirements.
  • Carry out technical supervision, on behalf of the Client, over the execution of works on field facilities modifications and accept completed facilities from contractors.
  • Participate in Triparty inspections and joint approval of pending works / punch list items as a responsible representative of Field Facilities Modification Department for construction and installation works.
  • Participate in construction facilities acceptance committee followed by their commissioning.
