Education and work experience:
Higher education (University degree or higher) in mechanical engineering area and not less than 4 years of work experience as Mechanical Supervisor or *secondary technical education in mechanical engineering area and not less than 5 years of work experience as Mechanical Supervisor.
Main functions:
- Technical supervision and control over the repair and construction works process by contractor according to the method statement in compliance with construction regulation and standards.
- Involvement in technical acceptance of mechanical completion; review/acceptance of as-built documentation.
- Supervise, on behalf of a customer, mechanical execution and completion carried out by construction contractor.
- Manage and monitor repair activity, including leak elimination (clamp or composite repair), installation, welding related to line, equipment and steel structures repair or modification; associated scaffolding, coating and painting activity.
- Monitor the progress of repairs and field facilities modifications, compliance of the scope, time and quality of works, including quality of the materials, items and works against the design, cost estimates, drawings, codes and standards, specifications, health & safety.
- Involvement in discussions focusing on amending the work packs due to emerging advanced technology, engineer solutions, enabling cost reduction and increased efficiency of the facility under construction, upgrade or modification.
- Involvement in reviewing and agreeing modified engineering solutions arising as part of the repair or modification scope; efficiently addressing the issues/problems; put forward a proposal on materials and replacements.
- Investigate the cause of schedule disruptions, poor quality of services; take actions aimed at preventing and recovering from undesired events.
- Signing the technical acceptance reports; witnessing audits/inspections, hydro tests. Monitor tightening torque, involvement in site acceptance test of mechanical completion across the facilities, involvement in compiling the mechanical completion documents.
- Involvement in drafting and reviewing all Lifting Operations Plans. Check alignment with KPO Lifting Procedures.
- Involvement in third party inspections and joint approval of pending works / punch list items when handing over as a responsible representative of Field Facilities Modification Department for mechanical completion.
- Tracker and review quotations on mechanical scope and associated activities, i.e., scaffolding, painting and coating. Drafting data sheets, necessary for reports and audits.
- Track and register completed mechanical scopes and draft data sheets necessary for reports and audits.
- Coordinate issues related to materials withdraw between FED /PMT/Warehouse and contractor. Review sufficiency/availability of materials in SAP.
- Ensure all personnel involved in provision of the services fully understand the content of the method statement with due consideration of HSE and Risk Assessment at TBT/Meetings on site.
- Attend PtW meetings. Sign PtW as JRE. Attend a pre-job briefing/meeting.
- Perform other instructions of management / direct management within its competence.

- Principles of labour legislation;
- Occupational safety regulations and standards;
- Ability to interact with other disciplines within the organization;
- Good knowledge of maintenance systems;
- Contractor site supervision;
- Understands engineering drawings associated with process piping;
- Ability to produce schedules and plans;
- Good communication skills.
