Education and work experience:

Higher education (University degree or higher) in the relevant speciality and not less than 5 years of work experience in the specialist positions as per speciality including 3 years of work experience in managerial positions.

Main functions:

  • Project management in accordance with the strategy and policies defined by the General Projects Manager.
  • Incorporation of the matrix organization philosophy in project development, also determining budget, design, procurement, construction and commissioning strategies in order to achieve the objectives in accordance with available finance, time schedule, quality and safety requirements.
  • Control over compilation of integrated work plans/schedules and work progress. Development of the overall project’s strategy, engineering coordination during the project design stage; monitoring field construction, start-up and development of production and other facilities.
  • Organize, develop and manage the project teams including training plans and nationalization program.
  • Provide leadership for the projects with the goal of delivering a quality operable project on schedule and within the budget with an excellent safety record.
  • Provide guidance in Front-End Engineering Design for the projects to assist with project scope development. Ensure that defined scope has been agreed upon by the customer.
  • Ensure project activities are planned and executed in a safe and timely manner to ensure land allotment, permits, licenses and approvals, design documentation, materials and contraction and commissioning resources and hand over documentation delivered in accordance with project plans and programmes.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules. Ensure that key project milestones and implementation schedules are reviewed and agreed with customer.
  • Develop, track and maintain project budgets. Work with Programme Department to receive accurate cost updates and early alert on potential cost overruns. Prepare amended funding requests when necessary.
  • Oversee project related material procurement and fabrication efforts, including follow-up on materials requisitions, purchase orders, expediting, release, define transportation method, ensuring materials availability at the site according to the planned construction schedule.
  • Conduct post project lessons learned review to improve future project performance.
  • Support and feedback to preliminary engineering and detailed engineering and field related activities for assigned project. Involve customer and construction resources in design review meetings at appropriate stages during the project.
  • Handover the project to project customer in accordance with General Projects Department processes and procedures.
  • Organize and conduct Working and State Commissions for final project acceptance.
  • Manage contracts within his terms of reference ensuring compliance with the contractual terms.
  • Prepare weekly status reports and report to the General Projects Manager about the status of the assigned projects.

Necessary knowledge and skills:
