Education and work experience:
Higher education (University degree or higher) in mechanical in oil&gas areas and not less than 4 years of work experience in the position of Materials Cataloguing Engineer.
Main functions:
- Manage codification of materials based on their technical data and categories, set inventory levels and link spares to associate process equipment.
- Lead the validation, inspection and control of materials master creation and amendment, using appropriate material management technologies, procedures and standards.
- Lead initiatives, analysis and studies that identify and implement improvement opportunities, designed to increase team delivery and effectiveness and in turn improve materials inventory management within Field Department.
- Maintain data consistency, configuration and accuracy for Field Department materials in accordance with recognised standards and procedures.
- Lead the Materials Cataloguing team, providing day to day tasking as well as long-term direction, development and performance management
- Co-ordinate resources within Materials Cataloguing team, working to close competency gaps, promoting continuous development for Engineers and highlighting to Superintendent where skills and/ or capacity are not available to fulfil business demands.
- Integrate and manage data supplied by Supplier / Manufacturer / Units / MaintenanceDepartment to maintain as per company dictionary / spares classifications of material.
- Coordinate classification of, spare, general and consumable type materials in accordance with agreed and documented item type definitions.
- Lead control and improve material data integrity, accuracy and cataloguing process for SAP PM.
- Work to minimise orphan spares within SAP PM materials catalogue.
- Approve all forms for creation / amend master data for inserting into SAP PM system.
- Prepare monthly catalogue status reports, for Field Materials Superintendent and Maintenance Work Preparation and Scheduling Superintendent.
- Coordinate interventions designed to optimise use of available material inventory and avoid unnecessary purchase orders.
- Create, maintain and update all procedures and guidelines relevant to the position of Senior Materials Cataloguing Engineer and their team.
- Provide support and co-ordinate process improvements with other departments, both internal and external to Maintenance Work Preparation and Scheduling team.
- Design and create Key Performance Indicators to support decision making during day to day operations, resource allocation and improvement opportunities.
Necessary knowledge and skills:
- English level is not less than B2 (equal to Upper- Intermediate)
- High knowledge in material management and spare parts technical requirements.
- High knowledge in procurement process and procedures.
- Cataloging process for materials.
- Data analysis and reporting.
- Safety and equipment systems.
- Review of maintenance manuals for spare parts requirement.
- Process equipment, principles and procedures of its operation.

- Operation of SAP PM, including data retrieval and export.
- Good communications skills.
- Advanced computer literacy.
