MAINTENANCE WORK PREPARATION AND SCHEDULING SUPERINTENDENT

Education and work experience:

Higher education (University degree or higher) in the relevant speciality and not less than 3 years of work experience in the lead specialist positions as per qualification or not less than 5 years of work experience in the specialist positions as per speciality.

Main functions:

• Drive the quality of Work Preparation processes across various Units to ensure they meet Field Department standards. Provide guidance and coaching to Unit Maintenance teams to enhance their work preparation and scheduling competencies.
• Direct the overall work preparation and scheduling for those activities executed by Field Department, and develop and implement the integrated plan to ensure efficient and effective execution of any maintenance and modification work.
• Manage the implementation and supply of materials and spare parts required for maintenance and operational activities.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive work preparation and scheduling procedures to streamline maintenance and operational workflows.
• Coordinate with Units, Supply Chain Directorate and Field Materials teams to ensure timely availability of materials and spare parts, optimizing stock levels to balance cost with operational readiness.
• Build effective working relationships with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System build team, discipline engineers, turnaround and Integrated Activity Planning in a developing organisation.
• Manage the expediting of materials and services required to support the work schedule of the assets.
• Provide Functional direction and guidance into all field personnel involved in Work Preparations, Scheduling and spare parts management, to deliver functional plans into delivery and execution activities.Develop guidance materials and conduct guidance sessions for unit maintenance teams to improve their work preparation practices.
• Conduct regular reviews of work preparation activities to assess adherence to established HSE and Quality benchmarks and identify areas for improvement
• Implement work preparation, scheduling and planning processes for KPC Workshop activities with KPO procedure.
• Implement tracking and reporting systems for work order management, planning accuracy, and material utilization to inform decision-making.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives in work preparation, planning, and materials management processes, aligning them with strategic business objectives.

Necessary knowledge and skills:

• Mastery English is an advantage on this role;
• Proven experience in maintenance planning systems (e.g. SAP);
• Experience in use of planning and scheduling methods and tools (e.g. Primavera);
• Working knowledge of Asset Maintenance & Integrity standards and practices (e.g. as Maintenance professional);
• Working knowledge of project management principles and tools, essential for planning, executing, and monitoring work preparation activities.
• Deep understanding of maintenance processes, including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies, and how to optimize these through effective work preparation and scheduling.
• Knowledge of materials management and spare parts logistics, including procurement processes, stock level optimization, and supply chain coordination.
• Contract philosophy, strategies and management;
• Compilation of procedures and other technical documentation;
• Experience of managing scope change pressures;
• Good communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to make presentations and write effective reports;
• Ability to work in team environments, communicate, understand and work within the dynamics of a multi-functional and multi-location environment;
