Education and work experience:

Higher education (University degree or higher) in economic, finance areas or in the relevant speciality without any work experience requirements or secondary professional education the relevant speciality and not less than 2 years of work experience as per speciality.

Main functions:

  • Assist Contracts and Procurement Section Head for the effective and efficient management of all aspects relevant to the contracts planning, supervision, co-ordination and administration of Contracts activities of User departments.
  • Alignment of contracting strategies with Company’s tender procedures, Contracts and Procurement Controllership policies, KPO local content development requirements and User departments and Partner Companies’ objectives.
  • Provide general Contracts support services to User departments.
  • Recommend, select and pre-qualify (if required) suitable suppliers/service providers to maximise efficiency of purchasing process.
  • Prepare RFQ / ITT documentation on the basis of Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Scope of Work/Supply received from User Departments above for supervisory approval.
  • Liaise with User Departments to ensure full understanding of their needs and that the proposed services will satisfy them.
  • Communicate with suppliers/service providers to achieve competitive costs, quality and delivery performance.
  • Examine and compare costs through benchmarking process, check suitability and availability of services, comparing specifications and reviewing proposed alternatives/substitutes
  • Research and interpret contractual Terms and Conditions, including explaining provisions for liabilities, penalties and compliance terms to User Departments and coordinate with Legal Directorate, Finance Directorate Tax Department as required.
  • Maintain the full engagement and alignment of Contracts and Procurement Controllership and other internal stakeholders.
  • Liaise with Contracts and Procurement Controllership to ensure that the tender processes are coordinated in accordance with the contracts plan
  • Support Contracts and Procurement Section Head in drafting strategic procurement contracting strategies in accordance with JPC tender procedures, and in the preparation of strategy papers for and JPC.
  • Provide recommendations for effective and efficient management of User departments Contract activities.
  • Ensure the right culture, skills knowledge and experience are in place to deliver Contract Execution plans.

Necessary knowledge and skills:

  • Mastery English is an advantage on this role; 
  • Contracting processes for upstream business categories;
  • Knowledge of appropriate RoK and international regulations;
  • Change management skills;
  • Facilitation skills;
  • Commercial and negotiation skills;
  • Presentation and communication skills (verbal/written) an advantage on this role.
