Education and work experience:

Higher education (University degree or higher) in electric power sphere and not less than 2 years of work experience as HSE Instructor.

Main functions:

  • Development, preparation and carrying out of HSE related training courses (modules, materials and programmes), applicable to the construction, operation and maintenance facilities within the Karachaganak field;
  • Research and assist with the development of appropriate HSE related training packages/courses designed to develop and enhance the knowledge and safe activities under harsh and varied seasonal climatic conditions, and other associated risks – in the exploration, treatment, production transportation and operation of Karachaganak field;
  • Provide trainees with sufficient information to prevent accidents/incidents and deal effectively and safely with potential emergency situations compliance with Safety Standards;
  • Ensure that all course materials are available and in compliance with the relevant RoK legislation, KPO policies and procedures;
  • Review course materials and visual aids to enhance and effectively communicate appropriate course topics. This will also include any course reference materials and or handouts;
  • Assist with the preparation, review, marking and recording of pre and post course test papers, work books practical assessments as and when required;
  • Ensure availability and be able to maintain various course demonstration equipment: Breathing Apparatus, Gas Monitors, Fire extinguishers, First Aid equipment.

Necessary knowledge and skills:

  • Legislative and other statutory legal acts of RoK, methodical material related to industrial and labour safety;
  • Main technological processes in oil and gas production;
  • Methods of research on labour work conditions;
  • System of safety and labour issues management;
  • Peculiarities of company equipment operation;
  • Rules and means of equipment technical condition control according to safety rules;
  • Advanced local and foreign companies experience regarding safety and labour safety issues;
  • Procedural and time norms of reporting system related to compliance to legislative requirements on safety;
  • Basics of labour legislation;
  • Effective presentation skills;
  • PC literacy.
