PLANNING ENGINEER

Education and work experience:

Higher education (University degree or higher) in the relevant speciality and not less than 2 years of work experience as Planning Engineer.

Main functions:

• Development of detailed plans for conducting major and other inspections (major and minor repairs) of gas turbines, generators, ensuring operability and proper technical condition required for high reliability of Gas Turbine Power Plant.
• Development of long term and short term repair plans of major and ancillary equipment at Gas turbine power plant. Ensure the availability of maintenance and repair plans for electrical, mechanical and instrument equipment, control systems and protection systems on weekly, monthly and yearly basis.
• Keeping on daily basis a record of power generation and its distribution. Planning the volumes of electric power to be generated at Gas Turbine Power Plant for the needs of the field and the Western Kazakhstan Region in accordance with current requirements and perspective plans of commissionioning of new equipment and facilities.
• Constantly maintain database of equipment at Gas Turbine Power Plant and make changes when new equipment for maintenance is introduced.
• Develop inspection (maintenance) plans of combustion chambers inspection, hot gas path and major inspections (major overhauls) of Turbines. Submit work plans for approval to ensure and verify the actual scope is in line with the type of maintenance.
• Develop work plans on carrying out major and minor inspections (overhauls) of Generators and submit them for review and approval.
• Participate in the development of annual schedule for process equipment maintenance. Submit proposals on long-term plan of turbines and generators maintenance in accordance with the manufacturers’ requirements.
• Participate in the development of plans for repair and maintenance of transformers, switchgears of all voltage types, other electrical, mechanical and instrument equipment, control and protection systems
• Participate in correspondence with original equipment manufacturers and agree implementation dates of major and other inspections as well as agree work scopes before commencement of every planned inspection (repair).
• Provide maintenance schedule for a month look-ahead to management and engineering staff for their reference and implementation.
• Provide monthly progress reports on process repairs schedules and equipment maintenance at Gas Turbine Power Plant.
• Participate in planning and reporting meetings. Maintain and update data base of equipment passports and certificates.
• Monitor and keep on daily basis track of electric power generation at Gas Turbine Power Plant and its distribution to all field and KATS facilities. Plan the volume of electric power consumption at facilities for short and long term prospects. Planning of volumes of power generation for export to Western Kazakhstan Grid in accordance with FPSA.
• Plan budget of operating costs for payment of technical dispatching services, power balancing, purchase and distribution of electric power around field and KATS facilities.
• Provide support to C&P Departments in initiation and extension of contracts for electric power supply, technical dispatching and electric power balancing. Provide necessary schedules, supplementations and calculations.
• Keep constant reporting on power generation and gas consumption at Gas Turbine Power Plant and deliver in to internal and external clients in accordance with requirements.
• Develop and upload to System Operator web-portal daily schedules of power generation and distribution, including supply from Renewable power sources. Make correction of daily generation schedules depends on requirements and time.
• Develop new types of reports depends on requirements. Timely and in full implement all tasks given by direct supervisor. Provide suggestion and initiatives, intended for improved performance and savings.

• Mastery English is an advantage on this role.

• Principles of labour legislation; normas and regulations of labour safety.
• SAP skills.
• Strong Excel skills.
