Education and work experience:
Higher education (University degree or higher) in the relevant speciality and not less than 5 years of work experience as Emergency Care Doctor or not less than 5 years of experience in cardiology, emergency care, surgery, traumatology, anaesthesiology or resuscitation and intensive therapy.
Onсe in 5 years provide with upgrade qualification certificate, according to requirements of RoK legislation.
Main functions:
- Provision of qualified first medical and pre-hospital aid to KPO employees on twenty-four-hour basis;
- Perform inspections of contractor’s First Aid Points standards with the aid of Medical Support Section;
- Take a lead and active part in regular exercises as and when ask by Medical Support Section Head to test the emergency procedures on site and the skills of the various medical response teams;
- Provide first medical aid during traumas, acute poisoning and diseases;
- Provide first aid and immediate medical care during emergency situations;
- Provide outpatient (ambulatory) observation and treatment of patients;
- Arrange transportation and if required deliver patients to the relevant medical and preventative treatment facilities. To provide patients with timely consultation of specialists and admission to hospital to provide specialised medical care;
- Together with Medical Support Section Head to make decision about necessity of medical evacuation;
- Implement educative activities, popularization of healthy life-style, training of employees in self-help and mutual aid. To develop and perform sanitary and educational works as presentations, toolbox talks, deliver lectures on health protection and promotion under the direction of and in coordination with KPO Health Department;
- Keep reporting and recording documentation of approved standard;
- Participate in training and support KPO policy in health protection and provide its implementation;
- Maintain and manage clinic activities;
- Inform management about process of medical evacuation, start the evacuations and supervise its implementation in close cooperation together with other structures involved in evacuation process;
- Use for treatment medications officially registered and licensed in RoK and supplied by the KPO Health Department only;
- Control over the medicines, medicines consumption, and medication stock;
- Take an active part in prevention and decreasing of industrial hazardous factors and deleterious effects to employees’ health;
- Report to the Health Department management and keep records on a regular basis on works performed and implemented in the entrusted worksite regarding the health protection;
- Provide continuously trainings and work with personnel already trained in first aid in the entrusted worksites.
Necessary knowledge and skills:
- Recognized protocols of emergency medicine.
- Occupational pathology and hazards;
- General knowledge of contemporary medicine and pharmacology;
- Main RoK legislative orders, procedures and laws relating to the practice of medicine;
- Life-saving techniques and manipulations as required in pre-hospital care;
- Basic knowledge of use of computer and use of common computer programmes;
- Ability to work in stress environment, decision making and responsibility;
- Good team player.
