Education and work experience:
Higher education (University degree or higher) in the Mechanical Engineering and not less than 5 years of work experience as Integrity Support Engineer.
Main functions:
- Developing strategy, policies, systems and procedures for Plant Integrity Assurance to facilitate pressure equipment asset integrity management in a consistent and professional manner, and in compliance with the applicable ROK statutory requirements and the International standards approved for use by KPO;
- Supervise a group of Engineers and Specialists that provide support to the entire Plant Integrity Assurance team;
- Assess the capabilities of national engineers and specialists, and provide on-the-job training and mentoring to assist in filling those skill gaps that are identified.
- Develop and maintain the methodologies, standards, procedures and systems for mechanical integrity assurance of all in-service pressure equipment installed at KPO;
- Oversight of the implementation of Risk-Based Inspection practices within KPO;
- Coordinate Risk-Based Inspection Assessments and Authoritative Reviews, and coordinate the internal/external audits of the Risk-Based Inspection process;
- Ensure the timely development of inspection workpacks as required by the inspection plans;
- Custodianship of KPO asset integrity management software systems (for example: ACET);
- Ensure that data is uploaded to the software databases in a timely manner, and that proper quality control of the data is maintained;
- Assist with the analysis of inspection results and data, including the derivation of pressure equipment next inspection due dates;
- Provide assistance in pressure equipment failure investigations and other unsatisfactory equipment condition Root Cause Analyses;
- Ensure that the library of applicable Regulations, Codes, Standards and Recommended Practices is maintained up to date;
- Provide active support for the implementation and upkeep of the KPO Process Safety and Integrity Management Standard;
- Participate in the preparation and development of the annual Work Programme and Budget, contracts, call off notices, purchase requisitions, AFE’s etc.;
- Monitor, control, forecast, and report expenditures on a monthly basis;
- Participate in the development of training plans and career development plans for national personnel in Plant Integrity Assurance;
- Perform performance reviews and prepare PDR’s for subordinate staff;
- Perform other projects or responsibilities that may be requested by the Plant Integrity Assurance Superintendent or Department Manager.
Necessary knowledge and skills:
- Advanced (C1) English level is an advantage on this role;
- Principles of KPO’s production processes;
- ROK Technical Regulations, Legislative and statutory acts, standards and requirements applicable to pressure systems;
- International Codes, Standards and Recommended Practices applicable to plant asset integrity management;
- Risk-Based Inspection practices;
- Fitness-for Service assessment principles;
- Typical sour oil/gas field materials, failure mechanisms, inspection techniques and corrosion prevention measures;
- Non-destructive testing methods - their application and limitations;
- CMMS systems;
- Computerised asset integrity management software systems;
- Procedure and methods of equipment operation and maintenance planning;
- Repair and maintenance methods;
- Principles of HSE legislation;
- Principles of labour legislation; occupational safety rules and standards;
- Technical skills related to knowledge base above;
- Analytical, problem-solving, and decision/judgement making skills;
- Leadership, teamwork, self-motivation, time management;
- PC Skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) of intermediate or higher level.
