Education and work experience:
Higher education (University degree or higher) in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering and Automation and control areas specialities and not less than 4 years of work experience as per profile.
Main functions:
- Provide advisory support to Risk Manager in Risk Management Strategies.
- Provide advisory support and recommendations to department and directorates in Risk Management issues.
- Help develop and utilise a suite of procedures and processes such that major process safety risks are identified, evaluated and controlled.
- Provide advisory support and recommendations to Operations departments to maintain risks to ALARP.
- Facilitate risk analysis and assessments utilising tools such as ORA, HAZID, Bow-tie etc.
- Participate in risk analysis and assessments such as EERA, FERA, SIMOPS, HAZOP, LOPA, SIL, QRA.
- Contribute to effective implementation of strategies such as H2S Management Control Strategy and SIMOPS Management Strategy.
- Perform risk assessments, which involve analysing risks as well as identifying, describing and estimating the risks affecting the business.
- Ensure that all recommendations from risk analysis and assessments are implemented through Synergy system effectively.
- Provide support to departments of Operations Directorate to develop, update and maintain risk registers effectively.
- Lead and participate in process safety audits for compliance with corporate KPO policy and RoK requirements.
- Support development of programmes for KPO staff to promote process safety culture amongst the national and expatriate employees and to ensure the awareness of major accident hazards.
- Develop and update Risk department guidelines, procedures, strategies and technical notes as a part of continuous improvement process.
- Facilitate Risk Register Review Workshops as and when required.
- Facilitate Risk Management Awareness workshops to provide support, education and training to staff to build risk awareness within the organisation.
- Provide support to departments of Operations Directorate during incident investigations and other activities associated with technical safety and risk management issues.
- Perform other instructions of management / line manager / direct superior within its competence.
Necessary knowledge and skills:
- Intermediate (B1) English level is an advantage on this role.
- Basic (А2) Kazakh level is an advantage on this role.
- Working knowledge of Risk Assessment techniques such as HAZID, ORA, Bowtie techniques, incident investigation, auditing and safety management systems.
- Safety Case development and implementation.
- Knowledge of Risk Ranking Matrix.
- proficiency with MS Office applications and other basic office software packages, Bowtie XP software.
