Education and work experience:
Higher education (University degree or higher) in Organization of transportation, traffic and operation of transport or Logistics (by industry) and not less than 5 years of work experience as Logistics Operations Engineer.
Main functions:
- Contractors and contracts management for special transport and supporting services.
- Compilation of transport requirements and vehicles provision plans including TA plans for Operations Directorate
- Identify and collect KPO operational departments needs in specialized transport (cranes, tractors, steam trucks, dump trucks, lorries, motor graders, forklifts, aggregates, vacuum trucks, etc.) and other supporting services.
- Collaborate with contractors to ensure execution of work and the quality of services provided. Report any shortfalls or insufficiencies.
- Monitor contracts availability and report any changes and new requirements to responsible departments in due time. Ensure contractual cover comply with operations departments plans.
- Timely prepare and issue requests for services (CON) provision with all related documents.
- Participate in the development of tender documents for the provision of special transport and other services, and prepare amendments to existing contracts. Ensure timely submission of documents for consideration by the relevant responsible persons.
- Participate in preparation and consolidation of annual budgets and work programs of the special transport
- Timely verify incoming contractors’ documentation for specialized transport services provided and payments requested.
- Participate in development of project to pool vehicles for shared use by the field and other departments of the operations directorate. Maintain special transport database.
- Propose initiatives to optimize special transport and related personnel, promote safe driving rules.
- Participate in the investigation of accidents involving the provision of special transport and share lessons learned.
- Conduct audits of special vehicles own and rented. Prepare improvements plans.
- Prepare plans for special transport use, share with respective parties and ensure special transport provided comply with prepared plans and Departments needs.
- Ensure proper management of documentation of the Special Transport and Logistics Department
- Develop and continually update policies, guidelines and procedures related to special vehicles.
Necessary knowledge and skills:
- pre-intermediate (A2) English level is an advantage on this role;
- regulatory documents relating to production and administrative activities, transport activity of organizations;
- performance specifications, design features, correct use, operational regulations of vehicles;
- economics, production engineering, workplace management and business administration;
- technical terminology;
- general provisions of RoK labour legislation;
- PC skills;
- sociability;
- analyzing and decision-making skills;
- ability to work in team.
