Education and work experience:

Higher education (University degree or higher) in finance, accountant areas and not less than 2 years of work experience as Asset Accounting Accountant.

Main functions:

  • Assure performance of economic transactions (fixed assets accounting) in compliance with the RoK (Republic of Kazakhstan) legislation, FPSA (Final Production Sharing Agreement and) and Parent Companies’ requirements.
  • Provide analysis of financial data for internal users, Parent Companies and external users.
  • Manage the assets accounting register and prepare financial reporting in line with FPSA accounting requirements.
  • Organize work and obtain compliance of Accounting Policy requirements and Internal Accounting of Production Assets and KPO equipment.
  • Follow financial discipline and rational usage of resources.
  • Assist other KPO departments and representative offices in consolidating data related to KPO fixed assets.
  • Provide assets accounting and prepare financial reporting in compliance with FPSA.
  • Perform quarterly forecast of bringing fixed assets into production based on information received from user departments and on the basis of work programm and budget.
  • Perform quarterly analysis of bringing assets into service.
  • Control a process of bringing assets into service in SAP system (create and update of asset cards, maintenance and execution of work breakdown structure elements settlement to asset cards, asset financial year closure, etc.).
  • Control a process of loss/overage stock adjustments made in SAP system based on Warehouse & Materials Management Department information.
  • Assist in developing and revision of procedures.
  • Check documents required for handover of completed social projects to Western Kazakhstan Oblast municipal property.
  • Interact with representatives of State Enterprises on fixed assets and material handover issue and on inventory of the state assets located on the Karachaganak oil and gas field.
  • Participate in inventory check of KPO Fixed Assets.
  • Control the preservation of accounting documents.
  • Assist in revisions and audits performed by the Parent Companies (Shareholders), Tax Authorities and/or Internal/external Auditors.

Necessary knowledge and skills:

  • Pre-intermediate (A2) English level is an advantage on this role;
  • Legislative Acts, Resolutions, Decrees, Orders, Manuals and Regulatory Materials on administration of accounting of assets, as well as reporting;
  • Forms and methods of accounting in the company; plan and correspondence accounts;
  • Administration of documents flow at the designated accounting areas;
  • Procedure of documents processing and reflecting transactions related to fixed assets flow, inventory holdings;
  • Methods of economic analysis of the company’s business activity;
  • Economics, Labour Management;
  • Market and economic management methods,
  • Labour Legislation;
  • Occupational Safety and Health Regulations;
  • Computer skills.
